Program Services
Day Star Program - Adult Day Shelter
Open Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm.
Various programming for homeless, elders and mentally ill, including Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings, Employment Workshops, Educational Workshops, Housing Workshops, and Guitar & Keyboard Instruction. Recreational activities include movies, art workshops, nature outings, and volunteer clean-up projects.
Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) Open Meetings
All are welcome. Offered Monday - Friday from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Monday meetings are a joint Narcotics Anonymous (NA) and AA meeting.
Community Meals Program
Open 8:30 - 9:30 am and 11:30 am - 12:30 pm Monday - Friday. All are welcome. (You don't have to be a member of the Day Star Program to get breakfast or lunch). Come and enjoy a nutritious meal.
Food Pantry
Open Monday - Friday from 9:30 am - 2:00 pm (by appointment).
Emergency Assistance
A wide variety of assistance is offered to individuals and families in need and is available on an as-needed basis. Each person is given individual attention during the process of intake, evaluation, and case management. After an assessment of need, family qualifications and program requirements, assistance may be given in areas such as:
- utility assistance
- clothing assistance
- food
- rental/mortgage assistance
- counseling
- referrals and case management
When appropriate, referrals are given to other agencies that may better serve the client's needs (such as food stamps, employment resources, and housing services).

Holiday Assistance - Seasonal
Special efforts are made to assist individuals and families during the Holiday season with food baskets, toys, and winter clothing.
