St. Francis House began in 1984 as a simple bread line, yet quickly grew into a multi-service day shelter. Today, it is the largest such organization in New England, serving more than 800 men and women every day of the year.
Basic Services offered: food, clothing, daytime shelter, and access to medical care
Rehabilitative services include: mental health and substance abuse counseling, art therapy, and more.
St. Francis House also offers legal aid, job-skills training, and transitional and permanent housing.
St. Francis House is nonprofit and nonsectarian.
