The Pembroke Community Group is there for Pembroke residents who need help, but may not be able to find it through other organizations. During the year, as their funds allow, the group might help a parent who needs to buy new glasses for a child but finds that insurance won't cover the expense. They have helped families who needed assistance with fuel bills, and many others, on a case-by-case basis.

During the holidays they are especially active collecting toys for children from qualifying families. Ask about their Adopt a Family program!

Because the Pembroke Community Group is supported entirely through private donations, they are able to act quickly to help area families and individuals without the red tape state-funded agencies might require. However, they must rely even more on your support!

CURRENT NEEDS: Toys, monetary donations and gift certificates to area malls, or music stores would be greatly appreciated to help fulfill the wish lists of teen-agers who are too old for kids' toys, but should still get something under the tree.
