Fifth Annual Central MA Stand Down for Homeless and Needy Veterans

The Fifth annual Central Massachusetts Stand Down will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. June 25 and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 26 at Veterans Inc.'s Independence Hall, 59 South St., Shrewsbury.

The Stand Down is a way to learn more about benefits available to veterans and is open to homeless and needy veterans and their families. All services are free. Veterans should bring a DD-214 or VA card as proof of veteran status. The WRTA will provide round-trip transportation from Veteran's Inc.'s Worcester headquarters, 69 Grove St., Worcester. Overnight accommodations at Independence Hall are available on Friday with pre-registration.
