Calliope, a collaborative choral and orchestral ensemble, will
present a concert to benefit St. Francis House at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 7,
at the Old West Church in Boston. Calliope is a dynamic volunteer music
organization that brings together talented vocalists and
instrumentalists to serve the Boston community and encourage social
improvement.
The concert will celebrate the accomplishments of inspiring
historical figures and will feature a wide range of styles, from Mozart
to Louis Armstrong and Marian Anderson. Julia O’Toole, Musical Director
of Calliope, encourages you to bring friends and family members of every
age. “We have a specific focus on the 18 to 35 age bracket,” she says.
Tickets are $35 and $40 ($25 for students), and can be purchased
through Calliope’s website. Calliope will donate $10 from every ticket
to help support the life-changing services at St. Francis House.
The Old West Church is located at 131 Cambridge Street, Boston.
